Hard for users who used AutoText feature heavily, usually with long list of AutoText codes. But Word 2007 has this restriction not to show QuickPart list (AutoText alternatives) for protected documents. Word 2003 has the tools tips for the AutoText codes regardless whether the document is protected or not. I can type the name and press F3, the QuickPart replacement occurred correctly. I made sure to have my cursor in an unprotected document section. But when I loaded a RTF document and protected it with a password, I could not see the same list when I clicked on the QuickParts menu. When I load a non-protected document, I can see the list of QuickParts I configured when I clicked I have added the QuickParts menu to Customize Quick Access Tool Bar. I have configured some QuickParts saved in General Category and stored in Normal.dotm.
